He/him. Gay. Psych major. Emma stan who also loves Jean and believes that both fanbases should get along. Will drag toxic stans. Masters 3 support in Overwatch.
@BeardedMagneto
Firstly, many gay icons are not gay themselves. They are people who support gay rights and usually gay people admire them.
Secondly, mutantkind as a whole represents minorities of any kind, including the LGBT+ community. Magneto would slaughter you for saying "alphabet psychos"
I loved Emma getting her diamond form, but she's immune to telepathy and doesn't need to breathe in diamond form normally. She also can't feel anything, physically or emotionally, so her being tired and weak is a little odd. But honestly those are small details. I'm happy overall
Rereading Giant Size X-men: Jean Grey and Emma Frost. It's just so layered and detailed, so I'm making a thread! Let's start with the cover. The images on Jean's side are larger and bolder, while on Emma's side they are smaller and intricate, reflecting their telepathic styles.
I'm sorry but Wanda's not Emma/Xavier level when it comes to telepathy. Her telepathic feats don't even get to Rachel/Betsy levels. She has absolutely 0 chance of getting into Jean's mind. Wanda's powerful in other ways. Telepathy is not a category you want to fight the X-men in
They knock people around in the comics too. She uses psi-blasts so powerful that they've knocked people across the room multiple times, and in a moment of desperation in the 80s, she literally unleashed a psi-blast so powerful that it blew up a building.
@EndWokeness
No, we've grown. The kids in the first pic were taught racism, sexism, homophobia, ableism, and multiple other forms of discrimination. If you look behind the trans teacher on the right, you can see the messages she is giving these kids are very important.
@mutantfate
Homelander by far. Omniman is misguided because he's been raised with ideals of conquest his whole life, but even after all of that, when everything happened, his humanity shined through and he couldn't harm Earth more. Homelander actually has no humanity or remorse at all.
I'm only looking at that ass tbh. Honestly, this whole suit for Iceman has always been horny af. The lines make a harness. The little line above his ass looks like a tramp stamp... It's all subtle but not at the same time.
Yet in the comics, Emma paralyzed Quicksilver and the other Avengers, even when Quicksilver was mid-run, lol. People forget how fast Emma is. Let's look at some other examples:
Okay, so I actually forgot that Jean is the only telepath to bypass Emma's psychic immunity (makes sense as Jean is an Omega with no known upper limit). So ignore that first part about the telepathy.
@tekim43
Her backstory is that she was a therapist who was supposed to help the Joker... Who tf is becoming a therapist at 15? You need a Ph.D to be a therapist...
"back to the core truths of who these characters are"
What he really means to say is that we're gonna get the core of who they were like 30+ years ago, not who the characters are now at all. Anything primarily based in 90s nostalgia should NOT be the basis of the MCU X-men.
"I think it’s very smart to bring this show back to take us back to the core truths about who these characters are, before then seeing how they enter the MCU in a larger capacity."
— Beau DeMayo on 'X-MEN '97'.
(via: )
White/Blue telepathy! We fucking won! I totally thought they were gonna stick her with the green from the original show. Now please Marvel, just fix Jean's colours and let her have pink, please!
@ItsSomjuu
Mercy healing plus payload healing plus missing some key shots. It's not Mercy being a problem. She does less than average healing in comparison to other supports.
She adds ambient psionic energy to her psi-bolts, amplifying them, and often this gives her psi-bolts physical impact too. Like how Jean uses psionic fire, Emma's psychic powers take on the properties of lightning when used to high extents, whether offensively or not.
@CEOofLegion
His telekinesis has been upgraded since he died and was resurrected. He's not just a very low-level telekinetic anymore. He's actually quite proficient with his telekinesis nowadays.
She's not an Omega, but she is an Alpha telepath that is so skilled that she can go toe to toe with Omegas like Exodus, Legion, etc. Let's remember that the only telepath she has ever lost against is Jean. Even some Omegas like Quentin Quire have been repeatedly outdone by Emma.
I know Emma is no longer an omega telepath but I like the idea during the 90s where Emma's telepathy is not considered omega level but she is very skilled in using it. If there was a pH degree for telepathy, Emma is so skilled that she can basically do anything with hertelepathy
@SaladUltra
@BeardedMagneto
That statement alone is literally the FURTHEST thing from the reality about Magneto. You clearly understand absolutely nothing about Magneto at all.
@SpartacusShiba
@HailEternal
Or just a racist or anti-Muslim person. Both of those types of people have been endlessly hating her and posting all over various websites. There's even a Christians against Ms. Marvel FB group. I wish I was kidding.
I feel like everyone is reading this wrong. This isn't Emma trying to attack Storm. This is Emma being real about how much they need Storm right now, and while Storm is divided between the two nations, she can't give Krakoa the attention it needs right now.
@2WrongMakeRight
@BeardedMagneto
Zero affection for LGBT people? He was literally the first person Iceman came out to when Iceman was young. He comforted Iceman and supported him, despite them literally being enemies at that time...
@creamyvivid
@jeffcharlesjr
Nope, the KKK and several neo nazi groups have stated time and time again that they are right wing. Literally if you ask them which way they lean politically, the answer is conservative. If you ask them who supports them politically, it's conservatives.
#XSpoilers
My biggest problem with the Hellfire Gala issue is the lack of power. Most of the Omegas, with the sole exception of Jean, were written like they aren't Omegas at all. Proteus is just slightly transmuting shit instead of wiping enemies from reality!?
Can we please bring back the concept of Jean's psionic fire (she can do this without the Phoenix btw) and Emma's psionic lightning? I like the idea of their psionic abilities taking on the traits of those elements because those elements fit their personalities too.
#Xmen

@XMenUpdate
@EricChasex1
Nobody even mentioned sexual fetishes or anything like that until you... The original post was talking about inclusivity and diversity, not sex. But also, X-men comics are FULL of sex and fetish stuff, lol. Have you ever read any storyline with the Hellfire Club?
@Renopus_
@autumn_tweaked
@Zephyr_0109
What belief? No one is forcing any belief on anyone. Sexualities exist. Gay people exist. That is a fact, not belief. So how is anyone being forced to follow any beliefs? All we're doing is eliminating the double standards.
@b0gur
It really shouldn't stop any ultimates though... like, I get that other abilities, such as sleep dart, stop ultimates, but sleep dart and similar abilities need to be aimed and don't just automatically track opponents.
Firstly, we can raise Emma up without knocking Jean down. Secondly, Jean would take out Xavier with superior telepathy and telekinesis. Thirdly, yes, I say this as an Emma stan myself.
Scott says "baby if I don't come back you need to handle that motherfucker Xavier. You are the only one that I trust to do this. Jean would/could never.
@LttleGel
@PicturesFoIder
You realize that there's already two options for human adult female there, right? Like, there's cisgender woman and trans woman right there. If you're not trans, you're cisgender. I was born a male and identify as a man, so therefore I am a cisgender man. It's not difficult
@WeWillHuntYou
@RightWingCope
Also, the fact that this is the question you asked says A LOT about you. Like, seriously... you have some deep issues if that's the part you think is important or if you think that it would be justified if she was trans. Giant red flag.
Get the fuck out of here with this racist shit. Storm is iconic as a Black woman. We're talking about the most published and popular woman in Marvel, one of the main/constant leaders of the X-men, and has been a part of every other major team.
Yeah, and they make Emma's interactions with other women needlessly tense, and it's a very tired, overdone narrative choice. Like, Magik and Emma never had any reason to have issues. They actually get along well most of the time.
@cycswasright
Yes, you are correct. She is the only one to do it, which makes sense as Omegas have no limit to their raw power, so no psychic defense would hold up, even if she's immune to everyone else. So that's a good point.
@OWAnonymous_
Firstly, we did get them for free in OW1. OW2 was supposed to be a sequel but was just worse and required us to pay for more shit. Secondly, we'd be fine if they were cheaper, but $20 per skin is just ridiculous.
#XSpoilers
I KNOW the Emma haters are gonna use this against her saying "what about them being equals?" So to be clear: they are equals and would likely kill each other in battle normally, but Xavier also has better TK and can use Cerebro as an amp while Emma only has her own TP
All Emma needed was to be out of punching range, and this would have worked. She had his mind. She just needed a little distance so that she could finish the job. Still nice to see her capable of overwhelming Thanos telepathically tho.
@PanzerKirby
@JessPected
@McGirlGal
@CodySDax
It does. Because supremacists think that they have it just as hard, but they have never been beaten down, or denied a job, or been hated, just for their race and nothing else.
@musicways_beats
@JUNlPER
That's the point. People are saying that LGBT+ people are grooming kids for the stupidest reasons. One told me that I need to stop holding my boyfriend's hand in public because it's inappropriate for children around. Just holding hands with my adult partner.
@_mmm_art
Yeah, like no offense to the Avengers, but a single psionic wave from the X-men's telepaths would wipe out the Avengers. Sure, some may have psionic defenses, but to what extent? Because they can block one telepath, sure, but the combined might of them all?
I'm sorry, since when has Xavier been too weak to reach across the planet. Jean, Emma, and Rachel can do it, so I feel like Xavier should be able to do so as well? Jean can reach other dimensions. Emma can reach Arakko, as we've seen before. Some pics of planetary telepathy:
@DonkenOG
@ToTouchAnEmu
It's not that the heals miss. It's that DPS overextend really far and/or go around corners into unsafe areas, and cut off LOS, so they can't be healed.
#XSpoilers
So Emma Frost just casually uses her telepathy to connect to every mind on the planet effortlessly and without assistance from another telepath or a device like Cerebro. Not surprising, since we've seen Emma do interplanetary telepathy feats, but still nice to see.
@finduspaddywack
@brokebackUSA
You're wrong. 99% of the LGBTQ+ community is NOT including kids in their dating pool. That is just shit made up by homophobes and people are falling for it so easily.
@OWAnonymous_
You mean Athena? Yeah, I wouldn't mind a little more time to get a kill streak. We hear her a lot as she announces the game: "Switching sides", "Round 1 Complete", etc, but we don't really hear her say quintuple kill too often anymore.
@PanzerKirby
@JessPected
@McGirlGal
@CodySDax
No, I never said that. You can say your life has been hard. Just don't deny that racism and homphobia exist, that's all. That's what the dude in the video does. Telling the X-men that they all have it hard, but he misses the point that no one should be hated for their race.
THIS! I feel like fans forget that Alphas are powerhouses. Polaris, Emma, Xavier, etc. Cyclops at full power can output more energy than a nuclear reactor. Kate phased a bullet through the planet. Jubilee can go nuclear. Still not Omega because high limits doesn't mean no limits.
Storm's mental defenses activate immediately, and her subconscious tries to determine whether Jean and Emma are friends or foes. Jean and Emma try to show core memories and explain their relationship to Ororo, but Emma's past conflicts with Ororo make Ororo's subconscious attack
@TheyCallMeDaymz
@mattxiv
It's satire. The point is that if they had men dancing with men or women dancing with women instead, there's a 99.9% chance straight people would be triggered and outraged over it, calling it forced. The tweet above is just flipping the script on that.
Emma did resist it. She frees herself and literally then frees people around her, shielding them telepathically so that Xavier's command isn't working and they don't have to just stand there and do the whole red triangle thing. That's how they teleported out.
@ToastedPastrys
@OverwatchNaeri
No strategy? You try optimizing beam toggling to ensure maximum value out of both healing and damage boost, always tracking and keeping a resurrection priority, and constantly choosing between over 20 GA techs, all while staying alive. Especially in high ranks.
This is actually why we as fans are worried. Because the last time we got an era like this, right after IvX, it was utter trash. X-men Blue was an editorial mandated convoluted mess. X-men Gold tried the classic superhero nostalgia route, and it fell flat and felt forced.
@JoyisBackAgain
@_Joshxxo
It's called an egg donor or sperm donor. We don't need people to be straight to procreate. Science is long past that. It's not the 50s, lol.

"The Ku Klux Klan (/ˌkuː klʌks ˈklæn, ˌkjuː-/),[c] commonly shortened to the KKK or the Klan, is an American white supremacist, right-wing terrorist, and hate group"
They were actually using the Phoenix's powers to do a lot of good around the planet, and had no sign of corruption or loss of control until Namor went down and his piece got split among the others. I wonder, if the Avengers hadn't pushed them there, would it have been different?
The flower is a symbol for Orchis. To free Ororo from this complex and powerful trap, they need a mix of power and finesse. Emma pulls at it carefully without snapping any pieces. Once the roots come up, Jean's power comes into play to lift the whole trap out.
Telepathy in diamond form?? I wonder if this is because of the resurrection protocols. Resurrected mutants come back more powerful in one way or another. Maybe this is what has happened now that Emma's died twice.
#XSpoilers
#Xmen
One thing a lot of people forget is Emma's speed. She also stopped Black Bolt from speed blitzing her by turning diamond and impaling him faster than he could react. And even before she trained her speed, she used to shift into diamond form within a hundredth of a second.
@SaladUltra
@BeardedMagneto
Out of grief and anger, he did claim mutants to be superior and turned into a villain in the past. However, that stopped in the late 80s. It's been almost 40 years of publication where Magneto hasn't been that person...
Emma protects herself as she is attacked and shifts into diamond form, but she is trapped. Jean takes one hit too. Emma begins to struggle out of this and does manage to break a tooth, but Jean flexes her power before it goes any further, tearing snake construct apart.
@creamyvivid
@Freddies_boy
@jeffcharlesjr
Also, the left wing supports LGBT+ people and immigrants heavily. The KKK despises LGBT+ people and people of colour in general. So why tf would you think the KKK is left wing??
@tenderoniTONY
No, but she's so skilled and has honed her powers to such an extent that she can go toe to toe with them. The only telepath Emma has ever lost to is Jean Grey and Emma has outdone Quentin Quire, an Omega Level Mutant Telepath, 3 separate times.
I'm so glad they're giving her the credit she deserves in this series. Aside from a very minor complaint that her psionic energy should be pink like it is in the comics, not blue, she's been portrayed so well in this series! Making up for what the '92 series did with her.
@mjnilson
@theserfstv
No, that's incorrect. Homosexuality has existed as far back in history as we can tell. It's not a choice, and cannot be changed, as we've seen through scientific studies on that. It's just uncommon. But uncommon does NOT mean wrong.
The White Queen. A personality with consistent depth and development, badass use of both her powers and intelligence, one of the top telepaths in the world, and one of the leaders of mutantkind.
You get to pick one…ONE…favorite X-man.
Not the best, necessarily, not the most popular, possibly.
Just your one favorite X-Man.
Who do you choose?
#MyOneXMan
I love most of the X-Women, but let's be real: Ororo, Jean, and Emma are the top 3 X-women if we're looking at prominence, leadership, and power. At least since the 2000s. Before that, I would say Rogue or Kate would have the 3rd spot over Emma.
A little further into the issue, as they reach the center of Storm's mind, another trap is sprung. Just like how Jean protected Emma right before, Emma foresees this attack and uses her finesse to defend them, not by blocking the attack directly, but rather bending it around them
Literally has one of the best character arcs, development, depth and is being well written... Not a single Emma fan has complained about her in the current era, because she's been central in several storylines. But okay, lol.🤣
@PanzerKirby
@JessPected
@McGirlGal
@CodySDax
The difference is that anyone can have a hard life, but straight white people are not hated for their identity alone, whereas marginalized people often are. I mean, look at the number of white supremacist organizations and neo-nazi organizations that still exist.
I just watched the new episode of
#XMen97
. Emma was just there to make a few quips, but I really, really hope this will be the event that makes her open her eyes and become a hero. She could develop her diamond form next episode and maybe even start Generation X.
At this point, Jean and Emma realize something is very wrong, as Ororo's subconscious defenses are lashing out at them full force. They go in further to investigate what has happened to Ororo.
@mutantfate
I say this having read the Invincible comics though. If you've only watched the show, I can understand why you may think that Omniman is worse.
I love this issue overall as an homage, but I really wish we had gotten to see actual dialogue in the issue between these two. I think it would have added even more to the issue.
Emma wipes him out. Her telepathy automatically tends to find flaws and weaknesses in the other person. She got into Thanos' mind and overwhelmed him. She got into Death's mind without permission. She has even harmed and restrained the Phoenix, the creator of psionic energy.
Another trap in Storm's mind ends up crumbling the staircase that Jean and Emma are standing on. This time, they both fall under the rubble. They work together to burst out.
I couldn't pick just one for Emma.
1. Projecting the Hellfire Gala's minds to Arakko
2. Overwhelming others including Rachel and Quentin while her own powers were broken. Raw power.
3. Mind controlling hundreds, each floor with a different command
4. Stalemating Exodus.
@musicways_beats
@JUNlPER
This comment is flipping the script on straight people to show how dumb people are being about this. Me showing signs of love to my adult partner is not inappropriate. It's not like we're doing anything sexual, just romantic.
I never saw Storm in the psionic energy this entire time until now. Crazy how flipping the image upside down made me see her there for the first time. Fantastic artwork.
@Jayjayyktvibe
Pride has always been a protest first, and an open space to talk about and display openness about sex. It's not the LGBT+ community's problem that these kids are here. The fault lies with their parents who bring them there despite knowing exactly what goes on at Pride.
