Delighted to have attended @dublincastleOPW to celebrate #tusla10. This visual tells the story of the day. Brilliant address from @deborah_somorin reaffirmed some of my reasons for fostering. @m4cif #StrongerTogether

A "minor technical fault" managed by gross incompetence by @Ryanair has left mayhem in Bodram Airport where 180 passengers await communication via chinese whispers from other passengers. No tannoy announcements, no water or food available to purchase for over 5 hours... Help

On behalf of @m4cif I'd like to thank @MattShanahanTD for raising parliamentary questions relating to foster care today. We believe that @rodericogorman will be the Minister to leave a legacy of improved foster care for children in state care. Thank you https://t.co/a7k8WV16zN

Thank you to fellow foster carer Frank McEleney for sharing your story. Heartbreaking to listen to but awareness and education is needed with regard to FASD especially within the context of Irish Foster Care system. https://t.co/5tdN42YYlx

The government needs to invest to future proof Irelands foster care system so that "caravans, barges or boats" are never considered as a viable option to care for our states most vulnerable young people @rodericogorman @epicireland @tusla @m4cif @IfcaInfo @dcediy @welfare_ie

Foster care is a better option for the child, and a cheaper option for the State, so why isn't more support given to carers, asks Alison O’Reilly

Also to correct the information in the interview the allowance was introduced in 2001 and increased by €6 in 2009. Increase in Budget24 (the majority of which is withheld until after Budget25) is the first since then. Protect foster care by implementing full increase in Jan24

Helpful if @MichealMartinTD had the correct facts regarding the fostering allowance increase to hand when being interviewed on radio today. There's 1 double weekly payment in 2023; increase of €25 from Jan24 with the additional €50 for u12 & €48 over 12s from Nov 24 @m4cif
