The easiest way to fix this would be to have the City, County, and State cooperate with Federal agencies. But they don't. Instead our politicians play stupid games & put exponential more people in harms way. Completely stupid. This is exactly what the Illinois politicians want.

If any officer detained a person under those conditions they'd have to be an idiot to not leave the scene to finish their investigation. What ICE needs is more officers to make sure they can do their job safely for both them & the subject. People interfering need to go to jail.
ICE raids West Chicago and takes two documented men (for no reason) and then drops them off a block away because they are legal. Your rights are being violated daily by the Trump administration.

@rev_cap What annoys me is the insinuation that the Boomers didn't earn every darn penny. The Boomers were the ones hit hardest by the loss of manufacturing jobs/globalization in the 1980s and 90s. They dealt with 18% mortgages and double digit inflation. They fought the Vietnam War.
