A big thank you to my co-authors (incl. @closburn) for sticking through the process! This is the 3rd chapter of my dissertation - it's amazing how far this story has come since I defended (sometimes things take time...) and I'm excited to see it out!

Interestingly, we found terrestrial DOM from high river discharge in winter was on a similar magnitude as DOM loading from hurricane events. Meaning storms in all seasons are important to OM dynamics in estuaries! (2/3)

Excited to share our paper in Estuaries and Coasts ( https://t.co/DvGbuxlv4N)! If you're interested in dissolved & particulate organic matter in estuaries, check it out! We found river discharge and terrestrial DOM were key while POM was both terrestrial and phyto dominated. (1/3)

Huge congrats to @DexterHoward77, whose 1st first-author paper is out! We monitored 10-min fDOM for a full year in #FallingCreekReservoir: https://t.co/YAzL6NfPOV Take-homes: 1) organic matter concentrations vary a lot day-to-day in reservoirs! 1/4 @GLEONetwork @VT_Biology

In a first of its kind study, Drs. Cayelan Carey (@CareyLab) and Alexandria Hounshell (@Seashells1111) of @VT_Biology have found that oxygen levels in lakes & reservoirs have significant effects on concentrations of CO^2 and methane in the atmosphere 🌌 https://t.co/3JChQVwDzB
