The point I was making was that of good policy. I wasn’t necessarily comparing a baby to a gun, I was simply trying to say most policies are put in place because there is precedent.
I happen to be a gun guy so it came to mind, that’s all.

Also, DNA tests can provide insight into potential health concerns for the child. Maybe genetic testing should be mandatory for that reason alone. It’s better than just asking the parents to fill out a sheet of family history of illness… especially if there’s a chance dad isn’t…
