I was upbeat coming out of the Bama game, because #Mizzou didn’t play well but still hung with a top ten team. After this nonsense…we are clearly not a playoff team.

I had the unexpected pleasure of a meal with Mike Shildt last month. Just a delightful, generous, funny man and obviously a brilliant baseball guy. I hope he's entered the universal "I need a year OFF from this crap" phase and returns; baseball is better for his presence

Mike Shildt began as HS coach and youth instructor in North Carolina. Assistant at UNC Charlotte for 5 years. His first MLB job was as an area scout for 3 years. Minor league coach for 13 years. 6 seasons as MLB manager. 2019 Manager of the Year. 435-340 record. What a career.

Game had all the intensity & drama of a 3-2 game with all the action of a 13-12 game. I enjoyed all 4 hours & 58 minutes of it. I hope Manfred has nightmares about this game.
Absolutely epic game. That thankfully didn’t end with a walk-off walk.
