I'm still trying to find my way forward here, and doing so reminded of this photo she took of the very beginning of a sunrise on a new day, back during happier times.
I have terribly sad news. I learned tonight that my friend Beth has died. Yinz knew her here as @LizHWrites.

On this day in 1989, the COBE satellite rocketed into Earth's orbit. Its goal? To measure and map the oldest light in our universe – the cosmic microwave background. After just nine minutes, COBE sent back its first results – a blackbody spectrum. These results provided

Most conspiracy content on X isn’t created to reveal truth. It’s created to make money. Those viral outrage posts? They’re designed to trigger you, boost engagement, and drive payouts - not to inform. They’re not here to enlighten you. They’re here to monetize your attention.

Years ago, my team and I discovered that dozens of microwave feed-through filters were causing system failures for a national security payload we were working on. Upon quick visual check, there was a bizarre oily coating on the filters. Turned out that a graveyard shift worker

"Landslide" cracks me up. Trump won by 1.61 percentage points against a lackluster Harris. It was one of the closest popular vote outcomes since the 1960s. Quite the landslide.
"Nobody cared about Jeffrey Epstein when he was alive and, if the Democrats had anything, they would have released it before our Landslide Election Victory," the president wrote in a social media post. https://t.co/5a8RoBg5Pi

@politicalmath Divided IN half or divided BY half? I've never heard the latter phrasing, but if it's intentional, it's also an ungrammatical way to say "divide by ONE HALF." And then, yeah, parentheses.

@CburgesCliff @Science_George @GregTrayling You always manage to lump us all into the one and only generation 😁. I think I fall right between you and George, and Greg shouldn't be far away from George. Of course, I'm from the first Star Trek series generation (I loved the papier-mâché props in the series even as a child).
