Transporter #1 - "Hein's Trein," honoring long-time NRAO Associate Director Hein Hvatum. Transporter #2 - "CamTrak" for Campbell Wade, who helped design the VLA and led the search for the VLA site. Current transporter names: "Jack of Diamonds" and "High Plains Lifter.".

The second photography was taken during the 1,000th VLA antenna move on 26 February 1991: CamTrak (AKA Transporter #2) lifts its wheels to turn onto the rail spur to bring antenna 15 towards station DN9, its new location.
