Congratulations Neil & team! Fun fact: Bredt was for 26 years a professor in Aachen, as successor of Claisen. His adopted daughter, Maria Lipp, became the first woman to receive a PhD in Aachen (in 1918) and later, in 1938, was Aachen’s first female professor.
Thrilled to share our new study of anti-Bredt olefins in @ScienceMagazine. Congrats to the authors for this nicely timed study, 100 yrs after “Bredt’s Rule” came to be. Read it here: https://t.co/mIgNnmJpws
