This is a natural conclusion to bring o seared with getting quotes. People have to talk! People get to defend themselves! Not always. It’s not a reporters job to make sure the subject likes everything. There’s that old adage about reporters looking out the window themselves, etc
The danger in this statement is obvious - it gives the White House (or really any subject) the ability to veto damaging reporting about them by refusing to give statements/cooperate with reporters. It lets them have a defacto spike of any story they don’t like

Special teams at the highest levels is my favorite to watch. There’s a gratitude in the way they play. Thankful to even be there, and it’s reflected in their effort.
