Bit of a long one from me today... 1) Its been a tough couple of weeks for the hospitality business. Like many restaurants, we've been affected by guests having to cancel their plans with us. Its why I'd like to thank every single one of our guests over this time.

A common irritation with restaurant remote booking centres. You call to make a reservation. You’re told they’re fully booked for the time you asked for. It almost certainly isn’t! Why? Because the ‘system’ is saying NO! Insist on speaking to the on-site manager & you’ll be ok! 🥂

It is with a profound sense of loss that I hear the sad news of the death of Gary Rhodes. In the late ‘80s he made @castletaunton famous by reviving the fortunes of the English culinary repertoire. A truly Great British Chef is gone. Deepest condolences to Jennie and the family.
