Driving standards are rising as a result of third party reporting. This is saving lives and preventing injuries.
Thank you, drivers of Sutton Coldfield. Two working days of cycling without a close pass. In fact it's been ten days since I reported anyone. I have an extra hour a day of useable time. The word is out. Pass cyclists at more than 1.5m and you don't face police action.

This Mondeo driver couldn't wait a few seconds to pass a cyclist safely. They push through without giving at least 1.5m of space and were reported to the police for driving without due care and consideration.

@SaferRoadsYorks "What would it have taken to get them to slow down and pass carefully?" Maybe if the cyclist contributed towards the roads they are clogging up, they would get more respect.

Solid white medians are there for a reason but at least the white van and red Focus pass the cyclist leaving at least 1.5m of space. The blue van doesn't so is reported to the police who offered them a course as an alternative to a fine and points or a court hearing.

Totally unacceptable. The driver should lose their license for this. Threaten anybody's life / safety in this way anywhere else (at work, for example) and the consequences would be very serious. Why do we as a society trivialise this sort of behaviour? #motonormativity
