I feel like these types of analyses also choose not to take into consideration that Ireland, until the 1920s, was a colonized country that was completely decimated of their natural resources while the countries they are compared too were the ones doing irreparable damage 🤔
Ireland has the worst ecological integrity in the EU. Only a few percentage of Ireland is covered by healthy ecosystems. By the looks of things, the creation of a new national park in Kerry will do little to change this for the better. #BiodiversityCrisis 🗺️: @RewildingEurope
