Amidst a severe housing crisis, Mayor Adams, First Deputy Mayor Mastro, and their administration have betrayed New Yorkers in need of affordable homes. Their political interference to stop the building of Haven Green is yet another example of capitulating to special interests.

The Trump administration’s push for major cuts to SNAP will only make life more unaffordable. This raises the need for further funding of programs that provide fresh food and groceries to New Yorkers in need, and @NYCCouncil will continue fighting for them in this budget.
