Dance update. Practice is going really well under the watchful eye of Judith, who gives up her time to get us ready for the big day. A championship dancer in her day, she’s the proud mother of Darren and Lilia from Strictly.

5. I’m dancing with Jess and any donation made to our pairing will count a bit like the public vote on Strictly Come Dancing. More importantly, it’ll help the families of terminally ill children.

4. So what are we doing? .We’re dancing! .A bunch of compassionate strangers have been assembled, paired up, and on the 12th July 2025 will be competing in two dances; the Waltz and the Cha Cha Cha.

3. I’m now supporting a charity that helps such families in their darkest hours, The Team Ted Foundation. Ted was the courageous grandson of a friend of mine who lost his heroic battle with cancer.

2. Being a Police Officer provides a unique opportunity to help and entertain some of the most inspirational young children, many of whom are tragically no longer with us, having succumbed to their terrible illnesses.

I’ve a big, charitable favour to ask, a 🧵:. 1. Over the years I’ve had the humbling privilege of being able to spend time with terminally ill children and their families. Showing them round the farm, meeting the horses, dressing them up, and “deputising” them.
