Meet our #volunteers! ๐Ÿค— Raj Joneja is one of our trustees. ๐Ÿค๐ŸŒณHis background in finance is very helpful to the charity. ๐Ÿ’ถ๐Ÿ“ˆ He enjoys the range of people he meets in the role, & to those thinking of volunteering, says: "Put your head above the parapet, you won't regret it!"๐Ÿ™Œ

We have a 97% survival rate because we will only plant trees where we have a commitment to water regularly from someone living or working close by. This is essential!

Definitely a good idea! ๐Ÿ’ก We have tree guardians who commit to water new street #trees for the first three years and audit their trees annually. We also have a maintenance/treecare team who monitor the health of our trees. ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿค’๐Ÿฉบ๐Ÿ™Œ#environment

Wetlands donโ€™t care which direction the rain comes from โš ๏ธ They act as natural sponges and absorb excess rainwater, releasing it slowly rater than flooding. We need more of these habitats to protect our communities from flood damage.

Urban greening in action. Bland & boring architecture is the norm these days, but it doesn't have to stay that way. Same buildings, different owners. One didn't bother much, the other demonstrates what a difference a few shrubs & trees can make. Where would you prefer to live &
