Im not saying there weren't elements of the nextgen (gen 7) that couldn't work. I just think it should have been a step by step process.

The one thing i noticed with the evolution of the car is that the rear end would get longer and closer to the ground, if you take the defuser,and underbody off the nextgen, that would make the car less stable in the back, creating more passing opportunities. Just a thought.

Other aspect would be taking the loovers off the hood, taking the underbody panel off. Moving the exhaust pipes further back, taking the gears from 5 speed to 4. Everything else can stay the same. As far as the mechanics. & personal get the number off the front fender.

I feel everyone is looking at the scheme and not the adjustments I made with this picture, I took the rear defuser off, changed the rocker box where it didnt have that gap behind the front wheel, changed the wheel and tire to the old 15" wheel. That was my point.

I've been trying to look up info on the nextgen from when it was first conceived & the first concepts. If this was a collaboration between @nascar, the manufacturers, andthe teams, apparently not all three were on the same page. Seriously, who was the main brainchild of this car?.

Go back to 15 inch diameter tire, extended the back end, get rid of the loovers, diffuser, rocker box. Ill take a 4 speed sequential transmission, not 5. Move the numbers off the front fender and more towards the center. This car is not cutting cost. Tired of that narrative.
