8 years ago today, I began an unexpected journey from SICK to RECOVERING. I ain’t done. Today, I reflect on my struggle from the #ICU, to my new life. Grateful for this milestone & praying other EtOH’s also find Doctors & Nurses who don’t give up on them!🥰 #Walk4PICS #MedX #LOVE

Day 29 – 3.5 for 31.Today I recited Sonnet 29, my mother’s favorite. When I run out of strength, I remember what she taught me: there is still music. Still worth. 9 years ago I was learning to walk again. Painful. Humbling. Now—29 days in a row in a 30 lb vest. If I can… maybe

Day 27 - awareness challenge - 3.5 miles for 31 days. Francisco Goya painted what delirium feels like. Before illness: serene court portraits. After: nightmarish visions like Saturn Devouring His Son. In 1793, Goya fell terribly ill. Deaf, haunted,

Day 25 – 3.5 for 31. Recovery isn’t a destination. It’s a daily decision. I don’t “arrive.” I just try — one day at a time. Some days feel strong. Some don’t. But showing up is the win. 🚶 3.5 miles for ICU delirium.🌐 🙏 Support:

Ben Askren “died” 4 times. Lost 50 lbs. 59 days in ICU. He made it out—but he’s not done fighting. As a survivor, I believe he’s facing PICS—memory loss, trauma, & recovery. We’re here to help. 3.5 miles today for Ben. For all survivors. Join us: Donate:
