Yesterday, on the 10th of July 2024, @CPSUK dropped the racist charges against Divina, Danae and me. While this is worth celebrating, I continue to feel aggrieved that the charges were brought against us in the first place. 1/5 #KingsCross3

Brilliant speech at #FiLiA2025. While some feminists look away and call the genocide and ethnic cleansing of Palestine “collateral damage,” @RahilaG refuses to stay silent!
My speech at the #FiLiA2025 conference in Brighton is being misquoted to portray me as a supporter of Hamas to suit Zionist agendas. @SBSisters @MaryamNamazie @maryamd_h @beatrixcampbell @GitaSahgal @shularises To set the record straight, here is the recording & speech extract:

Great to see a big turn out on the Unity demo against the Far Right in Leeds today. More than 3k took to the streets after weeks of Far Right led mobilisations targeting refugee accommodation. #WeStandTogether

Hundreds of thousands are filling the streets of London as a march marking two years of genocide gets underway. While a ceasefire has been ratified in the Israeli Knesset, protesters are demanding an end to occupation, apartheid, and UK complicity

Where are the feminist voices protesting against this? Perhaps feminists who label pro-Palestinian demonstrators as anti-Semites think that in some way she deserves this?? I’m trying desperately to understand. I see fascism and the misogyny that always accompanies fascism on full

What an absolute disgrace. 284 people executed this year, countless imprisoned for tweets, others trapped under travel bans. Women are still being sent to “care homes” for disobedience — and this clown dares lecture us about progress in Saudi Arabia?

The headlines focus on money, but the gigs were great and I think there are different ways to achieve progress. Art, especially comedy, can be part of that, says stand-up comedian, Omid Djalili.

For those confused, this is what @RahilaG said.
I was late but glad to be in time for @RahilaG, stressing environmentalism, internat'lism - and the genocide in Palestine. "I have fought against religious fundamentalism all my life so no one needs to lecture me on the evils of Hamas.' Ending with 'Free Palestine!' #filia2025

Not that long ago an 80yo woman with cancer was blocked from returning to the UK by the Home Office. Windrush scandal victims are still trapped abroad & refused compensation after being deported or forced to leave. One is overt & one is covert but they’re still the same

There are parts of London where deployment of facial recognition technology is common, even for people out shopping, getting the bus. But the Met did not want to harm the privacy of marchers with a history of violence? Ridiculous 2-tier policing. https://t.co/Xn0OQgTd9W

The principle of non-refoulement, which prohibits the return of people to countries where they will face persecution, is part of international law. As is the right to seek asylum. You cannot change it. What you are suggesting is illegal, immoral, and impossible.
We don’t need asylum backlogs, we don’t need migrant hotels, we don’t need endless appeals. What we need to do is actually very simple. Two words. Detain. Deport. Scrap the entire asylum system - no more asylum seekers. If you come, you get deported. It doesn’t matter who, or
