Christmas came early for train lovers! 🚂✨ Hundreds of excited enthusiasts joined our Class 455 Farewell tour, raising over £45,000 for @macmillancancer, the Alex Wardle Foundation and @RailwayChildren. The first train sold out in a record-breaking 15 seconds! 😲

Nicely timed as 2 Waterloo-Guildford via Epsom services cross over at Motspur Park today 23/12/2025 at 16:18. Notice how much cleaner the incoming unit is that was used for the tour on Sunday!

After 42 years today is the farewell tour for the Class 455. They have two more days in traffic this week then that is it! None will be preserved.

It was a fantastic (if a bit damp at times) day with 34059 'Sir Archibald Sinclair' being rededicated & officially launched back into service on The Bluebell Railway. A huge thank you to @MrTimDunn for coming to our railway & helping us with the rededication yesterday!
