Finally out after 6 years of work! Check out our newest paper on synthetic pattern formation in @ACSSynBio where we engineered short range activation and long range inhibition in growing E. coli colonies using elongation, adhesion and growth inhibition. https://t.co/gLrOy7bznA

Cool new article on the punctuational nature of metastasising cancer process! https://t.co/LgRWAV6IM2 This study strengthens our conjectured universality of the punctuational change, so called 'punctuated evolution'. https://t.co/pWkr1gM0gu https://t.co/36YxAHPhzY

Recent article investigates how combining existing elements can drive explosive growth in population, GDP, & innovation, confirming our past findings on how recombination leads to hyperbolic patenting dynamics.🔗(1) https://t.co/OS5W4a5sXV (2) https://t.co/ydBxVnDMSk #singularity

Why doesn’t evolution follow a path of constant adaptation? Over the past 50 years, punctuated equilibrium has expanded leading to a unified framework for punctuated evolution across scales—from genes to ecosystems & our planet. Our new collaboration at https://t.co/HXYe0yUyDM

We found a way to implant bacteria 🦠 in fungi 🍄and used it to induce artificial endosymbiosis. Read all about it in our newest research paper @Nature . https://t.co/dJSITsVNOk

Mathematical reasoning could lead to new insights into the universal characteristics of living systems. For 3.8 billion years, evolution has followed a branching tree pattern, from simple bacteria to complex life forms. But what if the structure of these evolutionary trees

A study reveals that viral evolution can undergo rapid bursts without external factors, with duplication events- and not just mutations-playing crucial roles in facilitating these innovations. #VirusEvolution #PunctuatedEvolution #Genomics https://t.co/FM7gJalew0

1. Neuralink's grand vision of augmenting normal humans has a serious problem: we probably have "merged" with computers as much as we can. Humans are surprisingly limited in terms of input/output to ~10 bits per second *regardless* of medium (even pure thought, etc).

#Anthropocene may be an event, but it transforms the entire planet. Many species will face #extinction, and survivors will have to evolve rapidly. Our latest @Trends_Ecol_Evo shows how #PunctuatedEvolution will emerge from species to societies in our era https://t.co/5g7KCOiOYV
