As heroic firefighters continue to battle the devastating wildfires sweeping across Southern California, the federal government is surging resources to ensure that communities can recover. Today I joined @FEMA_Deanne at the Emergency Operations Center in Los Angeles.

I am on the ground in California, meeting with @CAgovernor and other state and local officials. My thoughts are with those who lost homes or loved ones. First responders, fire officials, and our @FEMA teams continue to work around the clock to protect lives and property.

Our continued prayers are with the heroic first responders working to put out these fires, as well as all those who have lost loved ones, their homes, or their livelihoods in this disaster.
