Had a great time volunteering at Rosemead’s Community Clean-Up at Savannah Memorial Park, which was organized by its Beautification Commission. In advance of Veterans’ Day, we identified the headstones of servicemembers, placed U.S. flags to honor them & cleaned up litter!

When I started at community college 10 years ago as a low-income, first-gen college student, I never imagined that I would speak at Harvard about my journey. It was great to discuss reforms to make our higher ed system more accessible – but I’m ready to be back in warm weather!
