The way you ask for guidance can determine whether someone leans in or not. Don't make them feel like you’re asking for an open-ended commitment. Instead, make your ask clear, contained, and specific. Give a realistic timeframe. It is much easier for someone to say yes.

And here’s the key: they do all four at the same time. These aren’t traits you’re born with. They’re mindsets and habits you can build. If you’re wondering which of these you already do naturally, my High Achiever Assessment can help you find out. 🔗

High achievers tend to:.
Be driven by an inner fire, not just external rewards.
Approach challenges by asking “how” not “if”.
Keep refining the fundamentals, no matter how advanced they are.
Keep learning in informal, everyday ways.

You might be a high achiever without even realizing it. It’s not always about titles, awards, or being the loudest voice in the room. My research with astronauts, Nobel laureates, Olympians, and senior executives shows it’s more about how you think and work.

Burnout is on the rise across nearly every profession I work with. And often, the reasons we think it happens aren’t the real cause. When your day-to-day starts to feel flat, go back to your why. The spark may not be gone
 it may just need uncovering.

It comes from small, intentional choices:.
Reaching out to someone whose work inspires you.
Exploring stretch opportunities in your current role.
Noticing which projects energize you and make time disappear. If you’ve been feeling that quiet pull for change, try this:.

A chance to take stock before momentum pulls you somewhere you never meant to go. In moments like these, progress doesn’t come from a grand plan.

Feeling unsure of your next move can be unsettling. It might even feel like standing still while everyone else is charging ahead. But uncertainty doesn’t have to mean inaction. In fact, it can be a powerful pause point.

Because if you’re already short on time, the solution isn’t to put learning on hold. It’s to make it faster, smarter, and more aligned to your goals. What’s one skill you’ve been meaning to build but haven’t started yet? I’d love to hear.

"I don’t have time to learn AI." That’s what a senior leader told me last month. And honestly? I get it. But the leaders and companies thriving right now aren’t the ones who’ve mastered AI. They’re the ones using it WHILE they learn.

Another pattern I noticed with high achievers
They know exactly what to protect to keep performing at their best. For some, it’s their time. For others, it’s their focus, relationships, or health. It’s rarely everything, but it’s always something intentional. What about you?
