Ask yourself:. What do I want this success to lead to?. Because that next step? It just might be your purpose.

They find purpose and use their platforms to create something that lasts beyond the moment. Success, for these guys, isn’t just the achievement. But rather, what they do with it. So if you’ve reached a major milestone recently, I hope you take a moment to celebrate. Then. .

Sport champions have told me the same thing in different ways:. Winning gold was a day in their life, not the goal of their whole life. Most people would see Olympic gold as the pinnacle. The finish line. The final goal. But for each of them, it was just one chapter.

In my experience, high achievers thrive with mentors in distinct roles:. … a traditional mentor for wisdom. … a connector who opens doors. … a coach to hone skills. … a role model who inspires, and. … a peer who's going through it alongside you.

diverse perspectives and support: career guidance, connections, coaching, inspiration, and peer support. These different voices have made a huge difference in my career. Think of your mentors as your personal advisory board. Who is on your team today, and who might you add?

Success rarely happens alone; even the most driven achievers rely on a team. I've said it several times (because the research proves this), mentored individuals out-earn and get promoted more often than those who go it alone. And a well-rounded mentoring team will give you.

I’m back on @NBCNews today!. We’ve all had this happen: You read something new… and forget it almost immediately. It’s not a flaw. It’s how our brains work. You can learn how to make information stick longer. I’ll be diving deeper live on air. 🔗

One sentence shifted the entire focus of my work & in many ways, my career. That’s what great mentors do. They don’t just support your ideas. They stretch them. They challenge your lens, not your ambition. What’s one piece of advice a mentor gave you that changed everything?

If you’re feeling stuck, don’t wait for a big breakthrough. Start with one new question and see where it leads.

Because learning evolves. And some of the best lessons happen in everyday moments:.…A mentor who asks a question you hadn’t considered.…A podcast that introduces a new perspective.…A book that challenges how you’ve always done something.…A conversation that brings clarity.

In my research with high achievers like astronauts, Olympians, and Nobel Prize winners, there’s one thing I’ve seen across the board:. They never stop learning. Not after the award. Not after the promotion. Not even when they’re seen as the best in their field.

Technical skill might get your foot in the door. But emotional intelligence? . That’s what earns trust and keeps you steady when things get hard. EQ isn’t about being nice. It’s about being intentional with how you lead, listen, and respond.

It’s short, practical and designed to spark reflection. not just for HR, but for anyone who leads. Read the full article here: Also, if my high school English teacher sees this, please know that I'm grateful. Would love to hear what you think. 3/3.

Here's what it covers:. Why top talent walks (it’s rarely about money). How leaders unknowingly drive their best people away. The 3 conversations every high performer wants, but few receive. 2/3.

“Why did they leave?”.It’s the wrong question. The better one is: “Why didn’t they stay?”. That’s what this article is about. and I still can’t believe it’s just been shared with 5 million readers on the LinkedIn Talent Blog. A definite pinch-me moment. 1/3

@KaylaH Success isn’t built on flashy techniques or one-time breakthroughs. It’s built on the fundamentals and the discipline to keep showing up for them. If you're chasing long-term excellence, don’t skip the basics. Master them. .4/4.

@KaylaH The discipline. The consistency. The refusal to coast. She didn’t just rise to the occasion. She made sure she was always ready for it. That’s the part people don’t always see. 3/4.

@KaylaH Countless national titles, and a work ethic that didn’t let up. Last week, Kayla added a new milestone to her story: UFC Champion. She’s now the only woman, and one of just two Olympians, to win gold in both. It’s not just her talent that stands out. 2/4.

Her secret?.“I’m the queen of basic drills,” she told me. What she learned in the first six months of training became the foundation for everything that followed. When I interviewed @KaylaH for The Success Factor, she had already made history: two Olympic golds in judo. 1/4
