In a world that’s more connected than ever, developing the capacity of young citizens to think critically about global issues is a necessity, not a benefit. https://t.co/fYyjODXi0o

Think #SchoolChoice can’t work in rural areas? Think again. Alane Academy in Wauchula, Florida, pop. 4,694, started off as K-5 with 9 students. Now it’s a PreK-8 with 70. Oh, and its founder is a former public school district Teacher of the Year. https://t.co/Sc2iXKGprk

Whoa. 450 students pre-registered for West Virginia's first charter school, that's even with a lawsuit hanging over the charter law's head. School choice is coming to West Virginia.

“Our profession is filled with creative people with bold ideas. If policymakers truly want to see educators thrive, they should empower us with new opportunities to engage with them directly about policy agendas…” Well said, @garrisstroud

So what do you do when you are outnumbered by colleagues from other parts of the state who "don't know what it's like"? You work like hell to build bridges, create opportunities for collaboration, and speak your inconvenient truth. We have more in common than you think. Look.
