Throw in a burgeoning charter school environment and West Virginia is a exemplary state when it comes to providing options for its students. We are at the edge of the renaissance.
Amazing to live in a state where families’ “default option” for education is no longer being stuck in the government school dictated by their ZIP code. The Hope Scholarship, paired with robust Open Enrollment, means EVERY child can find the right education for them.

This is a perfect example of the difference between pro-market groups like @CardinalWV & pro-business groups like @WVaChamber. There is some overlap, but there are crucial, meaningful differences. Heuristic for pretty much any policy discussion: "guardrail" = barrier to entry.
Free to read: From hospitals to clinics, West Virginia’s health network works to keep care affordable & accessible. The Certificate of Need process helps ensure top‑quality care statewide. #WVNews #WestVirginiaHealth #HealthcareAccess #CommunityWellness.

Great points throughout.
As federal Medicaid funding shrinks, West Virginia must act. Repealing outdated CON laws is a smart first step to expand access, lower costs, and boost rural care. My latest op-ed on why bold reform can't wait: #endCON 🔗

Was privileged to see this in person . awe-inspiring to think humans created this nearly 1000 years ago.
The mother of all comic strips is returning to Britain. The Bayeux Tapestry helped inspire my novel “The Evening and the Morning” - so I’m especially excited. It goes on display at the British Museum next September. I’m looking forward to seeing it again.

At a time when civic literacy is declining nationwide, this report presents WV with a unique opportunity to lead the country in revitalizing meaningful civic education. It emphasizes foundational knowledge, constitutional principles, & importance of cultivating informed citizens.
West Virginia has a proud tradition of resilience and civic duty, but our civics standards don’t reflect it. In a new report, @taoneal lays out a bold vision to restore content-rich civic education and prepare students to be informed citizens, not just online activists.
