Oh. My. God. Seriously. Is there nothing, no act of such unspeakable cruelty, that you would actually decry? Is anything ok as long as it fits your narrative? We are watching actual horror here, and you and Ross are apologising for it. 🤷♂️.
We’ll never have peace in Israel or Palestine if we don’t recognise why those who’ve been subjected to blockade, occupation & worse retaliate. Peace-making requires honesty. Including acknowledging awful violent acts by different actors. But we cannot erase context of occupation.

I spend a lot of time on here defending the judiciary. But sentencing like this makes it difficult. These are not victimless crimes, and need to be treated far more seriously. We can’t jail people for heat of moment posts that incite violence yet not for premeditated activity.

Yep. That’s how it is. If you supported this, you chose to put men’s rights over women’s. Not trans rights. Men’s rights. The ability of men - who *are not trans* - to choose their “best life” at the expense of women. That’s what you’ve done. I hope you’re proud.
My advice. Don’t justify the unjustifiable. Just say youmade a choice. Picked a side. Decided who was expendable and who was collateral damage. But never tell a survivor of male violence that you feel their pain. Just tell them other things mattered more. And live with your pick.

The fantastic thing about the modern world is that actors who know literally nothing about anything are able to school parents about what’s appropriate for their children. Yay.

There should be no place in society for transphobia. But the problem - and it is becoming a real problem - is that stating the blindingly obvious fact that “sex is a biological reality” is being deemed by some as transphobic. It’s not. It’s science. Really basic science.

What is happening in Afghanistan is horrendous. Two years ago I supported efforts to get female judges out of there. We knew it was bad and we knew it could get worse. But I’m not sure anyone foresaw just how bad it would get. Unless the international community steps in - and I’m.
