We mistakenly got excited to see a billionaire buy the team. We forgot that no billionaire got rich by paying their employees their worth. They get rich by raising their prices on their consumers and giving us no choice. If Rubenstein cared about the fans, he'd extend Gunnar now.
The Orioles have now been sellers twice in five years (the second time after “liftoff “). They have done an abysmal job during both the hot stove and trade deadline as buyers which helped lead to second sell off. They’ve extended nobody and have raised ticket prices. Good times.
