As a former player and coach these athletes are so busy they barely turn in their school work. Now they are responsible for submitting their NIL deals on NIL Go š itās hilarious to think this was an actual conclusion.
A good explanation from Jesse on why college athleticsā new salary cap is a soft cap. Boosters will still pay athletes, whether through deals submitted to NIL Go or under the table like previously, and schools will facilitate deals. Above the cap $ will be necessary to compete.

A CBA is the only way to really solve the issues until then it will be back and forth forever.
A lot to unpack here, but 4 things are clear. 1. The House settlement has big antitrust issues. 2. College athletes are paid to play a sport. 3. Many college athletes are employees under a legal test. 4. The best model moving forward involves negotiating rules with players.

Such a good guy. I got to play and coach against his teams, he always treated me with respect. He gave me a tix to a game this year sat beside his son, Jaden. He was a proud father and super excited for Jadenās collegiate career. Heartbreaking, prayers for his family.
