This post contains all of the facts and opinions I have on how people are selected for the Barkley Marathons, including an email sent out this year to people who didn't get in.

That hurt more than my last 2 finishes. Significantly harder course, and warm (got up to 77F / 25C), but I also made a lot of mistakes. Actually pretty intriguing, back to no longer knowing whether it's something I can do. Will post usual report. Otherwise, till next time. #BM100

A year later, with more tickets in both lotteries (32 for @wser, 3 for @hardrock100), my odds are still almost the same. đ© 13% for WS 20% for HR 31% for one of the two 3% for both
Good luck to everyone in the @wser and @hardrock100 lotteries! My personal odds: 11% for WS 20% for HR 30% for WS or HR 2% for WS and HR

Scott Snell wins the USA with 88 hours. "That was fun," he said. "Kinda." 9 runners remain, 3 countries. #bigsbackyard #backyardultra

Thanks to the generosity of 300 people, we delivered over $40K of critical supplies including 30 generators & 142 heaters across 8 counties. There is still so much to do, but to these people you made a world of difference. Thank you, from me & from them.

Some of the finest engineering I've ever seen - making the best solution possible with the resources available. Two flat bed trailers back to back with boards over them to provide access for ~30 people stranded after the bridge was destroyed.

What's left of Poga / Elk Mills. Fire department was destroyed by a bridge that was destroyed by a house that was swept into it.

Photo of me as people on the internet trust me with enough cash to deliver dozens of generators. Thank you all so much. Every penny will be accounted for publicly. https://t.co/IzRHfy6Gy9
