To qualify for the #SAVE Plan, you must have federal student loans (unfortunately, parent plus loans are not eligible). Private loans are not eligible for #SAVE or any other income-driven repayment plans. #TodaysVoicesTues

Yes - see if you're eligible for SAVE at https://t.co/AYCzwvX0HP ! Borrowers already on the old Revised Pay As You Earn or the REPAYE Plan will be put on the SAVE Plan automatically; they won't need to sign up. SAVE replaces REPAYE.
Q3: Do borrowers need to sign up for the SAVE plan? What if a borrower is already in an income-driven repayment plan? #TodaysVoicesTues

SAVE is one type of income-driven repayment (IDR) plan. SAVE is not going to replace #StudentDebt cancellation (which is going through a negotiated rulemaking process) - but is an interim solution that will help millions of borrowers as payments return.
Q2: How is the SAVE plan different from @POTUS’ previous #StudentDebt cancellation plan? #TodaysVoicesTues

SAVE is an income-driven repayment (IDR) plan that calculates payments based on a borrower’s income and family size – not their loan balance – and forgives remaining balances after a certain number of years. #TodaysVoicesTues
