Thanks—your restaurants keep a Houston rideshare driver like me busy.
33 years ago today at 11:00 a.m., a defining moment in my life took place. I opened the very first Gringo’s Tex-Mex location in Pearland, Texas. I didn’t do it because I thought it was a great idea, especially since the property had previously been home to four failed

🚨 Fellow Houston drivers: heads up if you’re driving Westheimer, Almeda, or N. Shepherd. #rideshare #houston
🚨 HPD will be stepping up enforcement to keep our roads safe. Look for increased patrols on Westheimer Rd., Almeda Rd., and North Shepherd Rd., tomorrow the 7th and Thursday the 8th. Stay safe and obey all traffic laws. 🚨

Called it quits early yesterday. It was busy, but the risk goes up the longer you stay out. Moments like this are why. One crash and you can’t drive. Worse, you’re dealing with medical bills. No $5 Uber or Lyft ride is worth that.

Waymo's self-driving cars were put on pause by the company on Saturday in San Francisco after the autonomous vehicles were baffled by the lack of traffic signals due to a widespread power outage in the city. https://t.co/t6NgkBCTe7

After two years of closing my computer business, and with time on my hands while recovering from surgery, I’ve had space to reflect on what that experience revealed. One hard truth stood out. As long as I was producing visible economic value, people extended patience and

Stuck in the hospital for the next day or two watching whatever movies are on, commercials and all. Earlier it was White House Down. Pure nonsense, but I went along with the plot. What finally broke me: Tatum’s character risks global nuclear war to save his 11-year-old daughter,
