I'm actually disappointed that Cameron is going with the "fire is destructive so the fire tribe is evil and hates nature" cliche. There's great documentaries about Pacific volcanic islands where plants benefit from the fertile soil and birds incubate their eggs in the warm sand.
James Cameron says 'AVATAR: FIRE AND ASH' will introduce two new Na'vi tribes. One is nomadic and travel through the air. The other represents the dark side of the Na'vi. "They were destroyed by volcanic eruptions, so they resent nature and everything the forest Na'vi preach."

Universal, please let this man make a dinosaur movie. Tell him he can do one with time travel and he'll bite.
The Polyphemus Cyclops scenes in Christopher Nolan’s ‘THE ODYSSEY’ will reportedly be filmed at Nestor’s Cave in Greece with a 6x6m mechanical anthropomorphic puppet built inside the cave. (via: @NolanAnalyst)

The fact that people freaked out over this and felt like they had to debunk it because they didn't recognize that it's a dinosaur (which in itself would have made it obvious this is fictional) proves how much people still are in the mindset of dinosaurs as scaly reptiles.
Our dog has been barking and scratching up our back door every night. He has been doing this for days so I sat with him last night to find the issue. I snapped a flash pic of the backdoor when he barked and captured this. Be VERY careful outside because this does NOT look normal!

I think one underrated aspect of feathered dinosaurs is how a full body plumage makes it look larger than the scaly version. Especially with an all-black colour scheme you can picture this filling up most of the space in the screen like a living shadow.

Such beautiful artwork. This Twitter thread definitely ends on this tweet, there's no need to scroll any further.
However, as more and more Hypnovenator males master this skill, competition increases. At some point, the cleaning station became the norm, and some males started to get more creative in their attempts to impress potential mates.

@Goji_Saurus The early Toothless scenes where he still displays slit pupils are my favourite, he looks so menacing ad alien, you'd never know what a cute puppy he'll actually turn out to be.

Giga and T. rex when they're bigger than Spino
Currently, thanks to new information which has surfaced, I find Giganotosaurus to actually be the largest theropod, tied in weight with Tyrannosaurus (based on my reconstructions). This is bound to change with the description and discovery of more material.

@Trey_Explainer Also the fact that in an episode where everybody got their own song, they didn't let David Bowie's character sing.

I blame Jack Horner for this. "Make sure the guy who looks and is named like my rival colleague dies in a way that makes him look like an idiot!".
If you ever feel stupid, at least you aren’t this guy from the Lost World . Who got scared into the jaws of a Tyrannosaurus by a non-venomous milk snake

@Edaphosaurus I saw it in cinemas and I still thought the final fight was visually too hard to see. Dark gray monster fighting a dark gray monster in a city shrouded in dark gray smoke.

@AllosaurusJP Ian, did I ever tell you about D-Rex? He was our first ever attempt at creating a dinosaur, just a completely fucked mutation with six limbs and an ass for a face. Abandoned him on a secret third island I forgot to mention to you. Might still be roaming. And he was a good friend.

Trump's reign is gonna be cut short by some teen who's angry that they won't be able to watch the sequel to Godzilla Minus One.
Donald Trump claims he is placing a 100% tariff on all films produced outside of America that are brought into the country. “Any and all movies coming into our country that are produced in Foreign Lands. WE WANT MOVIES MADE IN AMERICA, AGAIN!”

The Last of Us 2 correctly identified Jurassic Park's raptors as Deinonychus?!.Why has nobody ever talked about that?.
#TheLastOfUsSeason2 is set to take us on the iconic museum visit! It would be amazing to see the clear #JurassicPark references from the second game. I remember absolutely loving that part when I played it.

I think it might be impossible. Jurassic Park felt like a celebration of dinosaurs and paleontology itself, while its sequels just felt like celebrations of the film Jurassic Park. And outside the franchise, dinosaurs are just a stock type of movie monster like zombies etc.
