Commissioned as USS Hemminger (DE-746) in May 1944. She was in service with the Thai Navy until this week.
The Thai Navy on 1 Oct decommissioned training ship PINKLAO 413, a Cannon-class destroyer escort transferred from the US Navy in 1959. Built in 55 weeks by Western Pipe in Los Angeles and commissioned in May 1944, she lasted more than 81 years in service! https://t.co/0nVlXK0bwV
