The absolute best thing I could “do for God” is to sit at his feet. https://t.co/OAzZAbCxgL

The only path to true power and freedom comes through embracing our need and lack. May you experience that freedom and strength from God today.

(Jesus + The Cross + Prayer) × 1 = MORE I'm the "1" and I don't add to the outcome or lessen it. Multiplying by "me" does not change the value of what Jesus, the cross, and prayer has already established. "We are essential in God's work, but we are never central." - Tommy Kyle

There are always problems to complain about, if you look for them. There are always things to be grateful for, if you look for them. You choose what you look for. You choose what you see.

Eventually sports end, then you are left with being the man or woman that you’ve become. Hopefully you learned about selfless service, leadership, teamwork, and effort. All can contribute, not all can star.

It doesn’t get communicated much clearer than this.
“I’m not the same player I used to be. That’s why. I’m not the J.I. I used to be. The old J.I. is dead. I’m alive in Christ no matter what the basketball setting is.” -Jaden Ivey on his DNP 🎥 @CHGO_Sports

I don't really know how it all works, but surrendering it all to the Lord just makes things better. Not necessarily easier, but better.

A simple cheat code for life is to just be easy to work with. Respond quickly. Do what you said you'd do. Be pleasant. An alarming number of people suck at all of this.

That's a wrap for Sawyer's first season here in Virginia. I'm sad the season is over, but glad he will continue to have opportunities to get better.
Just finished my freshman season with our JV team. We went 16-5 on the season. I averaged 10.6ppg which led the team, shot 33% from 3pt range, and was second on the team with 41 steals. Fun season and I look forward to continue learning and growing.

The problem isn't outcomes. It's what we do with them. We've made winning the soccer game an essential part of validating our self. The tighter the bond between self-worth and results, the more susceptible we are to avoidance. Outcomes matter. But they can't be everything.

Don’t feel qualified? Nobody does. You can only be qualified to do that which you have already accomplished or trained for. Anything new is accomplished by unqualified people.

Coachable people seek teaching, have a healthy fear of the Lord, and apply the wisdom they learn. “Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.” - Proverbs 3:7-8
