Amen Brown likely owes his political survival in last spring's primary to a big boost in funding from Republican billionaire Jeff Yass, so not totally surprised that he, like Jabari Jones, is having interesting conversations with Dr. Oz.

Did Dr Oz make this tweet attacking @JohnFetterman and Krasner while having lunch with @RepAmenBrown on Friday? Also, why is a member of @PaHouseDems having lunch with the GOP nominee for US Senate?

Lovely how Stefano and Sammin now get to weigh in on the Senate debate for the Inquirer as "contributing columnists" without any recognition of their ties to a billionaire-funded right-wing lobbying and SuperPAC network.

Helen Gym shouldn't have attended the GBCA event at the Union League. The question for Jabari though (which he so far refuses to answer) is whether his PACs or orgs are, like Amen Brown, taking money from a billionaire who is one of DeSantis' biggest funders (Jeff Yass).

As the PPD responds to protests against them by demanding MORE funding from the City, it seems like a good time to point out that the $725 Police Department budget is not even the full cost of policing in Philly. Expenses also show up in other parts of the City budget... [THREAD]

Allan Domb resigns from city council, will likely run for mayor. Did you know that from 2008-2019, Domb’s personally owned properties received at least $541,000 in abatements, about $300,000 of which would have gone to public schools?

Part of the reason that L&I is understaffed is because of insufficient pay, which is due to underfunding. Jabari just helped coordinate a campaign to get businesses to lobby Council for tax cuts. If we continue to defund public services, we can expect more of this.
