I had the pleasure of attending the DSA Fund's How We Win conference in September for democratic socialist electeds, staff, and DSA members on socialists in office committees. Here are some thoughts on the conference, and the place we find ourselves.
Without the development of a coherent program and coordinated plan, the US socialist movement will be just a series of unconnected local projects that is no match for its opponents.

Seems there is a difference between “thinking about this serious problem” and encouraging your 10s of thousands of followers to not vote for the party that won’t immediately end whatever democracy we have, scale up deportations, crush the NLRB, etc. But I guess we disagree.
I don't think the remedy is to elect Donald Trump. I also do not think that's an excuse not to think about this serious problem.

someone needs to take a bit of time away from the “big mean internet” (though I guess if you’ve committed to using your edgelord politics to sell your book maybe you do just have to lean in all the way).
And I guess I get why they're using that line, but "Who would you rather be fighting, Trump or Harris?" does not have an obvious answer, to me.

@rory_kramer There are also plenty of people just making the argument cynically imo.

a take aged like milk left outside on the fourth of july.
The basic dynamic with Biden is this: there’s a TikTok-esque meme that he’s senile. The GOP has worked constantly to reinforce that meme. The political media, rather than reporting out the truth of the meme, report on its existence and prevalence, reinforcing it.
