A teacher told me the elephant in the schools is AI. A teacher told me the elephant in the schools is intrusive laws. A teacher told me the elephant in the schools is covid infections. A teacher told me she is tired of having to clean up all this elephant shit.

COVID-conscious people don't think that they've abandoned science; they’ve come to think that science has abandoned them. @danengber reports:

@1goodtern Fortunately they are here. Since COVID is taboo, they refer to multiple respiratory infections instead. Still grateful although most are still wearing surgical masks. Bay Area counties renew mask mandates at health care facilities https://t.co/daswzAc97T via @KPIXTV

We’ve known this since year 1. This is one of the main triggers that caused me to take maximal precautions. How anyone could read this and go, 🤔 “not me.” Yes, you too. “You’re wrong. It’s only severe cases/immunocompromised who experience persistence.” Wrong.

Tedros' full statement in May 2023 about ending the COVID-19 WHO emergency status, which was NOT a declaration of the pandemic being over, in fact the opposite. Read on. https://t.co/3ggmYnwyZc

The WHO never said the pandemic was over, and I'm sorry you were mislead by corporate interests that wanted you to prop up the economy with your health by going back into the office, spending, and traveling. Here is the WHO in Jan 2024, and December 2024 stating the facts.

You mean Allistic people don’t imagine cats twisting and spiraling gracefully through the air, and dogs sort of plunking down, looking embarrassed, when people say “it’s raining cats and dogs?” How sad…

covid is a feminist issue. women are twice as likely to develop long covid and predominantly occupy the jobs with the most covid exposure: teaching, retail, childcare, etc. why aren’t feminist orgs talking about this?

Since we tend to hear only the negative (with harmful effects), just want to say that after putting it off bc I've been knocked out by them before, I had no side effects besides sore arm from Covid vaccine this year, barely even sore arm from flu shot. And no wait times!

here's my offer as a seasoned community organizer of 15 years: if you're freaking out about electoral politics and want to make use of your panic, which is only as useful as it is turned into a labor of love and radical change, let me know if you want to learn how to organize.

My friends argue about whether voting is about harm reduction or whether voting is about making a moral choice, and though I know this changes the topic, my friends if you are concerned about making the moral choice and practicing harm reduction please but your masks back on.
