ResearchHub COO @joycesticks walked through what shipped in 2025. He recapped ResearchHub V1 as a “Reddit for science,” with users earning $RSC for contributions. V2 introduced a rebuilt product with a personalized preprint feed, earn tab, and funding feature. The big shift:

@SciPhilOrg @coeff_giving @KumarAGarg @jddwor The alternative funding panel discussed how alternative funding models enable bold, unconventional research that would never survive traditional grant systems. 5/8

@stephen_wolfram @WolframResearch Funders shared the sentiment that today’s system rewards safe work, not replication, or transparency or bold ideas. Philanthropy can step in where researchers lack incentives to chase these bold ideas. The path forward is running real experiments that work, creating pressure
