4️⃣ The Bears are one of the most profitable sports franchises in the world. A prop. tax freeze in Arlington means freezing the main revenue source for local schools. People all over IL, in Rockford, Peoria & the Southland want “property tax certainty” too. They just don’t get to.

3️⃣ I heard from the Bears today that Chicagoans should take solace that at least Arlington Heights is in the same county. I’ll be sure to remind folks in Ford Heights that even though their finances differ, it’s fine, because they’re in the same county as Winnetka.

2️⃣ The state is facing real fiscal uncertainty based on what’s happening in Washington; the threats of $48 B Medicaid losses over 10 years(risking coverage for 330K people), SNAP cuts for 360K residents, and $1.5 B less for housing. Oh, and by the way, we’ve got a $1.5 B transit.
