Today, Sen. Kelda Roys and I introduced legislation creating Regional Transit Authorities. Establishing RTAs across Wisconsin better allows our municipalities to plan for growth, stimulate economic development, and address economic injustice.

While Republicans in Congress refuse to open the government, Wisconsin Democrats are fighting to protect affordable healthcare in our communities. Yesterday, I joined Congressman Mark Pocan and several of my Democratic colleagues to take a stand against rising health care costs.

Today on the Assembly floor, I made it clear — ‘good enough’ isn’t good enough. Wisconsin families deserve real, affordable housing solutions. We’ll keep fighting until affordability is the expectation, not the exception.

I’m pleased to have been appointed as Vice Chair of the Speaker’s Task Force on Government Efficiency. I'm proud to expand efficiency efforts as ranking member on the Assembly GOAT Committee. I'm hopeful this Task Force finds bipartisan solutions to better our state government.
