I commend @ChiPubSchools Interim Chief Dr. Macquline King for proposing an equitable budget for CPS which puts kids first - and rejects a risky borrowing strategy in favor of long term fiscal stability. The CPS budget team clearly worked diligently to turn over every seat cushion.

Regardless of what’s included in this year’s budget, the financial challenges facing CPS aren’t going away. As I told @fox32news, if I could snap my fingers and fully fund CPS today, I would! Until then, I remain committed to working collaboratively with all stakeholders to.
