We engineered a new type of air purifier to end respiratory disease pandemics. Whereas traditional air purifiers were designed as jack-of-all-trades devices, this is the first ever purpose-built machine, redesigned ground up. 2x air flow rate 2x lower cost 2x less electricity

According to a recent study by the World Bank, published in the journal Nature, lockdowns and the response to Covid-19 have pushed an additional 75 million people into extreme poverty, living on less than US $1.90 a day. https://t.co/hmRSTYeKD5

This is what happens when you LARP instead of doing real engineering. 100% of people who considered the problem seriously with a minimum of a middle-school-level science background figured out in-situ ventilation was the correct approach. You helped bring about your suffering.

Despite being triple vaxxed, I was hospitalized with COVID on Sunday and Monday. On day 4 of symptoms today and still feeling awful. It set off a flare of my ankylosing spondylitis as well, so I’m in excruciating pain.

We know how to end pandemics, and it's an engineering problem at the scale of buildings and cities. Pretending otherwise to stroke the ego of people working in biology/virology because it is "hard/sophisticated" has enabled all the suffering we have seen in the past year.

All billionaires to date (@patrickc, @peterthiel, et al) have proven themselves innumerate LARPers as evinced by their failure to assist in deploying the correct solution to COVID. We wish these folks the best of luck in succeeding where so many before them have dismally failed.

"COVID will end in a few months with rapid testing" "COVID will end in a few months when the vaccine is ready" "COVID will end in a few weeks of masks/lockdowns" 2 years on your incompetence has destroyed >$10 trillion. We FULLY SOLVED respirator diseases -- cost? -- ~$300b.

This is just remarkable. SARS-cov-2 rna eliminated from hospital ward air by air filtration. Which also removed a number of other bacterial and fungal pathogens. https://t.co/yX1m3mSaWw The before-after here is amazing. A who’s who of nosocomial pathogens. @VicLeungIDdoc

Modern retirement homes especially are usually built like airborne virus incubators. Lots of rooms around central corridors, a central ventilation system that moves air (and anything it carries) throughout the building. Not a bright way of doing things.

We knew this over a year ago (arguably, it's been known for decades by all the true experts in the field). Alas, the data so far suggests almost no one cares about the scientific data or working toward ending respiratory diseases such as COVID.

COVID is aerosol. Cleaning surfaces for COVID prevention is pseudoscience. Mondelli, Mario U., et al. "Low risk of SARS-CoV-2 transmission by fomites in real-life conditions." The Lancet Infectious Diseases 21.5 (2021): e112.

Excellent thread on failure modes of masks. Purifying air or ventilation doesn't have a failure mode and is vastly superior to masking. Failure to acknowledge/understand this among "elites/financiers/executives" is the primary reason for the continuation of COVID.

1/ It's now acknowledged that COVID-19 is primarily transmitted by tiny aerosols generated through NORMAL breathing—not coughing, or flying spit globules. Based on what we already KNEW about these respiratory aerosols, this should have meant MASKS OUT. https://t.co/vmVV6XzhMT

There is an estimated 97 billion sqft of commercial building space in the US. With $200b, we could have air purified in all indoor spaces every 5 minutes, ending respiratory pandemics, most colds, and most flu in one fell swoop, but y'all just had to play Scientist. #Lysenkoism

Failure to execute basic engineering tasks and pushing failed methodologies (such as experimental gene therapies plus masking) is killing people. We can end the pandemic whenever we want. We just need to stop denying physics.

“Overweight or obesity increased among 5-11-year-olds from 36.2% to 45.7% during the pandemic, an absolute increase of 8.7% & relative increase of 23.8%.” Closed playgrounds, parks, schools. Restrictions are making kids sick - physically & emotionally.

Implications: masking works, but is less foolproof than ventilation. Also, we know masking sucks in general, and just like we drive cars instead of riding in horsedrawn carriages, we can easily increase ventilation with in-situ devices to eliminate the pandemic.

Key Takeaway 2: masking showed a strong trend toward reduced cases, both with student or teacher masking, but this study fell just shy of showing statistical significance. We can speculate this may be due to improper masks / masking.
