Probably going to make some pozole, sit on the balcony, and listen to "Farol De Luz" while looking into the middle distance. Basically, I'm just going to get real Mexican with it.

People who bike everywhere love to disregard traffic laws and will blow by within inches of pedestrians but God help you if you are even existing in the proximity of a bike lane.

It’s honestly surreal theres a mass surveillance company called Palantir lol, whole planet’s run by offputting pigmen walking around with moron thoughts like ‘Gollum is a high agency individual’

I just listened to Revolver again. As is often the case, I am remembering Don Draper putting it on the turntable on the B side, skipping to the very last song, and then getting so scared he had to turn it off.

Events like the storming of the Winter Palace or the sans-culotte bursting into Versailles, I really don't think anyone can fully comprehend the feeling that must have washed over these people, the awe & despair of such opulence and waste while so many starved in the streets.

Can art, in and of itself, make change? Obviously not, but it can be very clarifying and galvanizing. The task of what to do with that is a question for groups like DSA and members of the organizational Left.

Listening to the 50/60s folk revival music, particularly Phil Ochs, in college was a formative moment in my political development. So it doesn't ring true to me when people pass around the Vonnegut quote about the uselessness of art towards political change.
