Anyways i do think we have a messaging problem. When you make it “police do bad things” then you end up in a freedom vs security tension and people can always be scared into picking security. Frame it as police have been ineffective and you’ll reach more people.

I think my favorite Massachusetts conservative thing is when they try to do the crime fear mongering. “I’m supposed to be happy with 24??? It should be 0!!!”. They just sound unhinged every time.

Boston did this too and had 24 in 2024, the lowest number since they’ve been tracking. Folks, the answer is not to throw more police at the problem.
Baltimore's progressive mayor Brandon Scott took a public health approach to violence prevention, and the city is on track to have its smallest number of murders and shootings in 60 years. This is huge for Baltimore.

Making myself feel better about 20 mil cap hit by telling myself it’s basically like giving Myles turner 50 mil a year.
@YossiGozlan With Miles Turner's contract being a bargain for the player that he is, could look at the 22.5M a year as being part of a salary he probably should have gotten on the market had there been cap. Maybe a bit of an overpay, but he's worth a lot more than the deal he's getting.
