“don't talk down to them or try to ‘retrain’ them into something they don't want to be” Why have books become this
Do you know a boy ages 8-18 who can't seem to find interesting books? His teachers try to foist him off with the tedious or depressing garbage they were taught in college. So here are ten books that are easy reads, easy to find, exciting, and don't talk down to them or try to

We so readily believe this is true and important for children But it is just as true and important for adults
Read fairy tales to your children. From an early age, these stories prepare them to face the most essential human struggle: the one between good and evil. Teach them to champion the good. In the words of Walt Disney: "Life is composed of lights and shadows, and we would be

Narrative is an essential part of how we process information, but it also gets deeper Novels do incredibly more for instilling values (courage, honesty, determination, etc) in one’s self than any number of articles listing the benefits of those values

Larian CEO confirms the studio is using generative AI to "explore ideas, flesh out PowerPoint presentations, develop concept art and write placeholder text." He says there won’t be any AI-generated content in Divinity — "everything is human actors; we’re writing everything

Sci-do is when bioluminescent native wildlife Fantasy is when…?
My books are certainly full of action and intrigue, but this quieter sequence in Ronan remains one of my favorites. I might just be speaking for myself, but I’ve always found it very cinematic. Do you even write sci-fi if there’s not some form of bioluminescent native wildlife?

Reading fiction as an adult is important for mental health among many other things I will say, though, not everything that isn’t “literature” is slop. And you are an adult So read whatever you want
