The Senate just UNANIMOUSLY passed our Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act! Without oversight, residential treatment for troubled teens can become residential abuse. This bill is a path toward fixing the broken system—we need to get it passed in the House and to @POTUS’s desk!
🚨 HISTORY MADE! 🚨 The Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act just passed the U.S. Senate! 🙌 THANK YOU to everyone who fought for this. Let’s keep going ❤️ @SenJeffMerkley @JohnCornyn @TTuberville

Thank you @CAgovernor for signing #SB1043 The Accountability in Children’s Treatment Act into law! This law will bring much-needed oversight to youth residential facilities in CA, and I’m proud to have partnered with Senator @ShannonGroveCA and the legislature to help make this
California just enacted a new law championed by @ParisHilton to improve transparency and help protect our youth. Children and teens – especially those in the foster system – should never be subjected to improper use of restraints or isolation. https://t.co/ZM5mP0r1iv
