Warning, story: When I was on tour, I saw good people do bad things because of lack of money.
Money doesn't buy happiness, but it gets you out of survival mode.
Survival mode disables compassion & intelligent thought
Help people get a basic income = better world.
My banner is lame?
I hid under those railroad tracks as trains drove overhead.
The culvert in the back? Where I had my first smoke.
That closed little shop? Where I bought single cigs, chips, pop.
It was a fishing town. Then everyone lost their jobs.
This is where I'm from.

Hey I just bought the CopyThinking community course from
@GrammarHippy
And I'm actually going to apply it for the next 6 months and share my progress.
It's taken this long to finish other obligations - now I can go ALL IN.
Training experiment:
Going to be training deadlifts, squats and overhead presses for low reps daily.
5 days a week.
This will either destroy me or turn me 100% barbarian.
And I'm going to do it vegetarian.
@SolBrah
Interesting.
Never really heard anyone talking about glycine before.
Just did a quick google on it.
May help support:
• heart and liver health
• improve sleep
• reduce diabetes risk
• and reduce muscle loss
Sounds like good stuff.

I wrote 47 articles between 500-1000 words average.
Each article takes a couple hours to write and edit.
I bet I could make that with one tweet here on twitter.
I just realized its not small accounts I enjoy.
I enjoy any account that talks with me.
Big or small doesn't matter.
It's like when I walk down the street and say hi to a rando.
Doesn't feel good when you get the cold shoulder.
Ya know?
People are interested in how I left my 9-5 through copywriting.
Well that's a big of exaggeration.
I'm writing this without editing so it comes out frank and honest...
All the pros keep saying daily emails and storytelling.
I get it. It works.
But isn't there anyone else out there that wants an actionable/info dense email once a week?
I understand now why it's NOT followers you want.
You want friends.
If a fella has just 12 friends on here - it makes all the difference in the world.
Sleep well my friends.

Want to gain muscle?
Get stronger.
Want to lose weight?
Get stronger.
Want to perform better?
Get stronger.
Want to be an absolute unit?
Get stronger.
Nothing gets better with weakness.
When my fiance cheated on me while on tour, I cracked.
Filled to the brim with rage.
I needed an outlet.
So I decided to get in killer shape.
I entered a bodybuilding competition and won.
Lesson?
It's ok to get mad.
Some of us only get results when fueled by spite + rage.
I'm learning twitter, there's 3 guys I trust and want to deep dive on.

The first one "Glenn" I've watched grow from zero and do what he teaches. The word TRUST is not said lightly.
I wonder if success is boring?
Day 8 of 30 Days To A Handstand.
Still at 30-40 seconds of handstand against wall.

I love answering the question with a question. “What’s your opinion on who’s more powerful? A Sith or a Jedi?” Me: what’s a SETH?”
I would be a business rockstar if I stopped collecting information and started using it.
Learning only gets you so far.
Doing work brings home the tofu.
“Your audience are not just walking wallets. An audience is a group of real people with desires, dreams, and problems.”
@arvidkahl
This made me realize that the problems I solve for myself, would be very helpful for other people like me.
This is my story on becoming a writer - I wrote this journey starting in 2002. Those were some tuff days - more would follow. I remember coming home from the gym to find a bag of groceries hanging on my door. Someone knew how hard up I was
I like commenting on smaller accounts.
The people actually talk back.
Initially I was all about getting into the comments of bigger accounts for “exposure.”
Now I only comment on 3-5 big accounts. Sometimes
I like to hang out more in followers comments sections now.
You?
18 days ago I started a handstand challenge.
Now I realize an important business lesson.
You can make a living showing people how to do things.
But you will create an empire if you do the work for them.
We try to grasp too much of life at once; since we think of it as a whole, instead of living one day at a time.
Life is a mosaic, and each tiny piece must be cut and set with skill, first one piece, then another.
People say the best skills to earn money online are:
→ Freelancing
→ Copywriting
→ Ghostwriting
→ Affiliate marketing
Skills are great, but getting clients is the REAL skill.
I started with my friends, my boss, and local businesses.
Just let them know what you do.
And 2 months of serious twitter analytics to analyze.
But there's a catch
• The first month I did as little as required.
• The second month I did as much as I could.
Running them through BM
See if I can mine gold.
I'll report back from the other side
I've never seen ANYONE in all my years in the gym make fun of anyone overweight, underweight, unsure, making mistakes, figuring things out.
Never. We appreciate the mental and physical battle you're fighting.
I HAVE seen people shit on the cocky asshole in love with the mirror.
I understand now why it's NOT followers you want.
You want friends.
If a fella has just 12 friends on here - it makes all the difference in the world.
Don’t follow me. Walk with me - and be a friend.
Dude was in a wheelchair.
Actually it was two bikes welded together
Powered by an electric motor in each hub
He made the scooter by hand.
Saw him at a Latin Music festival for seniors.
He was handing out cards while driving his 'MEGA-scooter'
Now that's marketing.

I have an idea - when you interact with people and find out they are for real, add them to a private twitter list. That way you can check that list first thing and catch up - then move onto full feed if you want.
15 years ago I worked to sell 1000 $7 ebooks until I realized I could just write a few sales pages or pick up a couple consulting calls.
So much less leg work.
You want freedom of time and leverage of effort.
Work efficiently. Play vigorously.
I spent all yesterday on one task.
For a person with ADHD that's kind of a big deal.
Focus is a master skill for everyone.
With ADHD it's the difference between being a conquerer or constantly confused.
Did I just try harder? NO
I've been TRYING hard to succeed my whole life

On a call with
@LearningToan
He's in Vietnam and I'm in Canada.
Crazy world we live in.
We are talking about learning to learn.
Its epic stuff I wish I had when I was a student.
It would have changed my life.
But I have the info now and the future is a golden opportunity.
So check this...
I was talking with
@EvenKeeledOne
and realized...
Noone wants to follow me as I figure things out.
They want to know what I've figured out.
Having a weakness does not mean you are weak.
You are weak when you don't seek help.
You are weak when you won't admit there is a problem.
Strength is seeing a weakness and seeking solutions.
Then acting on answers.
You'll fail.
But keep trying.
This is strength.
There’s one thing ADHD brains are good at:
• Recognizing things they want to do
• And things they don’t.
This means when you find your jam you'll be unstoppable.
You want more writing/web clients?
I know the secret but you won't like it.

When I started lifting weights I weighed 126 pounds.
I couldn't gain any weight or muscle no matter what I tried.
After some changes that I didn't find in the muscles magazines...
I gained 49 pounds in a year.
Stick to the basics.
Ask me anything you want.
This morning I stopped bucking the trend with X PFP.
I matched my color and pfp.
I know they still need work but it's a base for now.
Everyone talks about branding so much.
I can't turn a blind eye to the cosmetics anymore.
You notice a change when you upgraded yours?
Yesterday taught me that people are quick to judge.
People are quick to offer unsolicited opinions.
But they don't know you or your goals or where you came from.
You keep doing you if you have a plan.
You keep putting in that work.
You're the man in the arena.
6 months ago I thought platitude posts were GARBAGE.
But every cloud has its silver lining.
And tomorrow is another day.
We have to forgive and forget.
Because life is what you make it.
And I choose to be myself because everyone else is already taken.
Wife: Why do you spend so much time writing?
Me: Because I can't work a shit job forever and be happy.
I'll be a grumpy old man.
When I work on our dream future, I have hope.
And for you I become an unrushed, listening, helping, happy and loving husband.
I always hammer about the basics of squats, deads, bench, overhead press, rows and carries...
But
I love pistols, chins, dips, leg raises, HSPU's, Back bridge.
The second group keeps me young.
The world is a playground.
The twitter explosion is real?
What do I mean?
You can chug along for 6 months with nothing happening...
And then in one day, it all comes together.
Keep going my friend. Keep...GOING.
@adielcorchado
This might seem petty, but I've a long history of being a little jealous of others peoples success.
I can honestly say that I am SO happy for you. For some reason, you getting this feels like a win for me too and I had nothing to do with it!
Such good news.
I was wicked at pistol squats and one arm push-ups a couple years ago.
Then I tweaked a couple things doing demo/construction work.
Now they suck. I’m doubling down on the pistol squat and one arm push-ups over the next couple months.
Posting this here for accountability and…
Just landed another Upwork client, so I want to tell you this.
You get better at writing proposals, the more you do and learn about the psychology of selling.
Just help people get what they want.
And no, I don't use or have a template :-)
Lets talk steroids!
This account is starting to take off and it's time for full disclosure.
In 2001 I took steroids to compete in my second bodybuilding show and win my weight class.
I haven't since.
Why?
I want to be a confidant man.
I want to know that I am enough alone
Ethical Bribe?
Maybe a Lead Magnet?
I call it bait.
You want certain fishies then you need certain bait.
Today I made bait for fishies that want to write emails that sell.

I'm posting my last newsletter here today because - WHY NOT.
So
Greetings from the litter box.
I'm your Email Escape Artist Raymond Burton, and today we are clawing our way out of the social media sand…
My learning stack is complete:
I have:
- the email guru
- the writing guru
- the sales guru
All that knowledge downloading into my cybernetic organism.
Don’t sleep on accelerating your learning curve.
Winter is coming.
My confidence in ‘doing’ was much stronger when I was younger and before I made big mistakes by trusting my gut.
It’s taken years to build up trust in myself and my capabilities.
I DO know what’s best for me.
When life beats you down, remember that you did the best you could…

Excited to clarify my service to those seeking physical freedom.
Everyone brags on being the digital nomad.
They talk about travelling tons and writing in coffee shops.
That's not how I roll and it's ok if you don't either.
Naps with cats and surplus cash is the lifestyle.
Maximum choice is the way.
Everyone seems to be an expert.
I find myself longing for honesty.
I want to see a person that has had problems and is honest about them.
Tell me if you're working on it or have it solved.
What people want is truth.
I have a question my friends/
Do you pay attention to best post times?
I have two apps telling two different things
I have a thread I'm proud of that I want to drop tomorrow and don't know if I should do morning or evening.
Thoughts?
Some days I don't feel like doing squats.
Then I think about my dad.
He used to be on the bomb squad and load missiles on fighter jets.
Now he has ALS and can barely talk.
Enjoy your body while you can.
If you’re not following
@LearningToan
then you need to.
His newsletter is amazing.
I don’t know if it has anything to do with ADHD, but what he says CLICKS for me.
He’ll help you learn what you want to learn.
It’s not about having a killer workout.
It’s about just showing up.
If you step in the rack and walk back out and go home - fine.
But keep a promise to yourself.
Show the fuck up.
My personal training clients were all different, yet the goal was the same:
Transformation.
Email lists are no different.
Everyone is looking for answers to problems.
Be the trusted guide in their inbox.
Today I invested in a coach.
No I won't say who.
Yes, you will get burnt sometimes when you buy programs.
But buying maps to where you're going is very important when you're racing for a million dollars...
And freedom.
