This is exactly what the American founders believed. Natural law principles concerned well-functioning minds; Natural rights principles concerned well-functioning societies. This form of reasoning was all trashed by self-styled “progressives” and “realists.”
I increasingly believe that there are fundamental principles which simultaneously govern the designs of well-functioning minds, organizations and societies. Once we pin them down with mathematical precision, we’ll understand the world more deeply than we can currently imagine.

Did she disclose her loan fraud during her confirmation hearing? Would that information about previous conduct have been material to that vetting process? What if had been uncovered while her nomination was pending? Would that likely have affected the outcome?
Judge purports to stop Federal Reserve Governor Cook's removal. Judge says "for cause" removal does not exclude discovering a massive fraud perpetrated by the Fed Governor--so long as it was before confirmation. Nothing pre-confirmation can be for cause removal? I'm skeptical!

What has @FedSoc ever accomplished?
BREAKING LEGAL NEWS: The entire 11th Circuit, in an 8-5 vote, held that an insurance policy excluding transgender gender-affirming surgical care doesn’t violate Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 Judge Brasher wrote for the court on behalf of himself & 6 other judges

And don’t start with me about @FedSoc “picking” judges. What FedSoc does is educate lawyers and provide an institutional structure in which first principles and policies can be debated, refined, and improved.

@RandyEBarnett Thanks Professor! P.S. In Goldfinger, James Bond also dines at Joe’s Stone Crab (aka Bill’s on the Beach) during a Miami layover. An incredible scene where champagne flows while they wordlessly devour the crab. Fleming describes: “the most delicious meal he had had in his life.”

Not even enforcement. Just presence in force.
I'll say it again…Democrats are not worried about “tyranny in DC.” They're terrified that within 6 months Trump will have demonstrated that it doesn't take billions in progressive programs to make a city safe. Just enforce the law while protecting the innocent.

And if we'd like to go even further back in the Rufo family lore, my relatives in Italy helped hide Jewish families (alongside Italian partisans) in the mountain caves above our town when it was occupied by the Nazis. It's been a point of pride in our family for a long time.

Actually, I've had warm feelings for Jews since I was a child. Before my parents started making money, we lived in a rough neighborhood and the local schools were dangerous for white kids, one of the neighbors had come home bloodied. The local Jewish school took me in and treated

Above all it takes the perception that one’s very survival is at stake.
@realchrisrufo It'll take a long time to develop the skills and political culture necessary to emulate that. What you're seeing is the product of decades of work in that direction.

@realchrisrufo In other words, America should value its interests the same way Israel values its interests. That's the model of statecraft.
