Instead of putting people down, I’d like to remind everyone what Guillermo Del Toro meant when he said “animation is cinema”. Not every animation is cinema but cinema can come from animation. For when it’s cinematic it can just as effective if not more as live action cinema.

As an animator in the field who’s gotten threats for what I worked on and lover of the art form of all shapes and sizes. In order for animation to grow, we need different kinds of animation to show what it’s capable of just like how live action can be and less what it should be.
the context for this was that the animators started getting straight-up threats on instagram and twitter lol you guys suck.

Just because you don’t like something (which you are entitled to) doesn’t mean that effort and hard work isn’t put into it by their artists. If I didn’t love working on the projects I did and the people who make me care I wouldn’t have been there as long as I have.
